The Hilliard House Hotel is the perfect choice for anyone lucky enough to get a tee time at Royal County Down. Located just 5 miles from the golf club, the hotel has tastefully decorated rooms and a busy restaurant. Castlewellan Country Park is within walking distance of the hotel and is perfect for a stroll. I would stay there again. Even though, just like on my last visit, I wasn’t able to secure a tee time at Royal County Down and could only take a stroll along the beautiful beach at Newcastle.
